Therapy Services

At Psynepsis, we offer different forms of support for people navigating emotional pain, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, nervous system dysregulation, or the need for more clarity and direction. You do not need to know exactly which service is right before reaching out. Part of the process is understanding what kind of support fits your situation and priorities.

Our Services

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive form of brain training that supports the brain’s natural capacity for self-regulation. It may be helpful for difficulties related to stress, anxiety, sleep, attention, emotional regulation, nervous system dysregulation, or performance.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a confidential space to explore anxiety, stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship patterns, life transitions, or self-doubt. It supports deeper self-understanding and helps you move toward more clarity, steadiness, and connection with yourself.

Family Therapy

Family therapy focuses on the relationships, roles, and patterns within the family. It may help with conflict, parenting stress, communication difficulties, emotional distance, relocation challenges, or moments when one person’s struggle affects the whole family system.

Coaching

Coaching supports people who want more clarity, confidence, direction, or meaningful change in life or work. It may help with decision-making, boundaries, motivation, leadership, professional growth, business challenges, or personal transitions.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy offers a structured way to work with trauma, painful memories, emotional triggers, and experiences that still feel unresolved. It helps the brain process distressing material so the past can feel less present and overwhelming.

Couple Therapy

Couple therapy supports partners who feel caught in conflict, distance, silence, mistrust, or repeated misunderstanding. It helps you understand the pattern between you, soften defensive reactions, and create more safety, honesty, and emotional connection.

Online Therapy

Online therapy offers warm, secure, and flexible support from a private space of your own. It may be helpful if you live further away, travel often, have a busy schedule, or feel more comfortable beginning therapy from home.

How We Help You Choose

It is common to feel unsure about which service is right for you. You may wonder whether you need therapy or coaching, whether EMDR is appropriate, whether Neurofeedback could support your nervous system, or whether your situation would be better addressed individually, as a couple, or as a family.

You do not have to make that decision alone. An introductory conversation can help us understand what you are experiencing and what kind of support may fit best. We will consider your symptoms, goals, relational context, practical needs, and whether online or in-person sessions would be most supportive.

Sometimes one approach is clearly suitable. At other times, support may be integrated. For example, someone may begin with individual therapy and later include EMDR. Another person may use Neurofeedback to support regulation before deeper therapeutic work. A couple may begin with relationship therapy while one partner also receives individual support. The process can be adapted thoughtfully.

A Thoughtful, Integrated Approach

Although our services are different, they are connected by a shared understanding: people are not separate from their nervous system, relationships, history, environment, culture, body, and daily life. Emotional difficulties rarely exist in isolation. Stress affects relationships. Trauma affects regulation. Family patterns affect self-worth. Work pressure affects the body. Relocation affects identity and belonging.

This is why our approach is both human and clinically grounded. We pay attention not only to symptoms, but also to the patterns, meanings, relationships, and contexts around them. Whether you come for therapy, Neurofeedback, EMDR, coaching, couple therapy, or family therapy, the aim is to support change in a way that feels respectful, realistic, and adapted to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

You do not need to know this before reaching out. Many people arrive with a general sense that something feels difficult, unclear, or unresolved. During an introductory conversation, we can explore what you are experiencing and think together about which therapy service may be most suitable.

Yes. Sometimes one form of support is enough, while in other situations a combined approach may be more helpful. For example, Neurofeedback may support nervous system regulation before or alongside therapy, while EMDR may be included when painful memories or trauma need focused processing.

At Psynepsis, we use Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback, also known as ILF Neurofeedback or the Othmer Method. This approach is highly individualized: the training is guided by the client’s responses rather than by a fixed, one-size-fits-all protocol.

For those who would like to understand the background of this approach, our partner, BEE Medic, offers a helpful overview of how ILF Neurofeedback evolved from earlier forms of frequency-band training.

Yes. Our therapy services are available for expats and internationals living in the Netherlands. Therapy can support the emotional impact of relocation, cultural adjustment, loneliness, identity questions, relationship strain, and distance from familiar support systems.

No. Therapy services can support people in crisis, but they can also help with prevention, self-understanding, emotional regulation, stress management, relationship patterns, personal growth, and life transitions. You are welcome to seek support before things become unmanageable.
